After my windows crashed in December I purchased a new computer with windows 7. I recently installed adobe acrobat 8 standard.

When it opens a PDF file everything freezes up (I found out too late that this version will not work with windows 7). I have purchased Acrobat X Proand want to uninstall the old version, because I can not read or print any PDF files with it on my computer. It will not uninstall with the uninstaller.
I found this information - after an hour of following these directions it did not work either. I want to get it off of my computer and have no clue where to go from here. Any suggestions? Thanks for your time.original title - Adobe acrobat 8 standard all messed up on Windows 7 - can not uninstall.
